holly and alice-mae

Today we visited the city learning center and had great fun. We made films and voice recordings, to help us improve our french skills. Our skills are definitely improved as we gained french vocabulary knowledge through the fun and interesting activities.
Thank you for inviting us x

Today we came to the city learning centre. We made audio and video clips of french monologs and diologs. It really helped us to communicate in french and learn new vocabulary. We learnt lots of new vocabulary especially in the food department as our play was set in a cafe. we also learnt how to communicate in french faster. and it became more natural.
overall we really enjoyed this day. it helped us alot. i also managed to blue tooth it on to my phone really easily. this was very useful

Today we created a pod cast about ourselfs. We also did a movie of an interveiw in french. This helped me to speak french by giving me cofidense and more vocabulary

I went to the CLC for a French trip today, it was a very good experience and i will summarise it here. First we watched some videos and took vocabulary out of them, then we edited the scripts to fit our own description (I did one about tony blairs family) and then recorded them on to garageband. It improved our listening skills because we adapted the text and turned it into our own speaking excersise which meant we had to listen hard for the right text and remember our edits.

Then we made a video sequence using iMovie to record, me and my partner took 6 takes to finish it! then we had to decide between the takes to see what one was best, I tell you it was pretty hard work!

Overall the day was an enjoyable experience for me and i hope more people will come and enjoy the day!

Today, we created a voice recording based on a script from a french website. These scripts were altered by us so they mad sense according to our details. After lunch we created a video, were we performed a scence in french based on our scripts. I made a vidoe with jasmine, we were on the bus and we got some friends to sit behind us so it looked more realisitic.
It has made me more confident in speaking french with my friends, it has made me less embaressed about making mistakes. Also, it has developed my dictation skills, when we had to write down our scripts from the website.
I didnt learn much new french, although i think it is more important that my confidence has improved and overall, i have had fun with my friends!!

Today, we created a podcast about a certainaspect of our life. We also did a Movie of an interview in french. I helped me speak french because you don't get to do speaking french often at school. Also it made it easier to understand what french people are saying. I learnt what comme ci-comme ca meant.

My day at CLC

Today we went to the city learning centre to do a french workshop. First we went on the computers and watched some videos in french, writing down the script as we did. Afterwards we looked at the actual script and corrected whatr we'd written. A bit later we adapted the script to apply to us, we then recorded it using ibook laptops. When that was done we got to have lunch and afterwards we wrote out a cript for a video and recorded them using imovie, which took alot of takes in some cases.

I think that today helped my speaking and listening skills because it taught me how to read more fluently and how to pretend that i wasnt reading a script when i was. Also, i think that i really improved my accent and dluency of speaking.

I learned how to say:
doctor
surgery
where are you going
you havent met them
young
is this seat free
newspaper

random but vaguely useful words
